ORDER

This contempt petition is filed for the non-compliance of the order made in W.P.No. 16421 of 2017, dated 30.06.2017.

2. By order dated 30.06.2017, this Court passed an order in the writ petition in W.P.No. 16421 of 2017, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 01.08.2016, in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties.

3. Mr.R.Y. George Williams, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that since the respondent has not complied with the orders of this Court within the stipulated time, this Court should impose costs on the respondent.

4. When the Contempt Petition was moved by the learned counsel for the petitioner on 25.01.2018, Ms.P.Kavitha, learned Government Advocate, took notice for the respondent and sought two weeks' time for reporting compliance. Thereafter, the matter was taken up for hearing today and today, the learned Government Advocate submitted that respondent had complied with the orders of this Court and considered the petitioner's appeal dated 01.08.2016, by passing an order dated 07.02.2018. The learned Government Advocate also produced a copy of the order dated 07.02.2018.

4. Since the respondent had complied with the orders of this court, I am of the view that it is not a fit case for imposing costs, therefore, the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is rejected. The contempt petition is closed.
