Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the 2nd respondent to produce petitioner's daughter Ranjani, aged about 16 years, before this Hon'ble Court from the custody of the 3rd respondent and handover to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.) The writ of habeas corpus has been instituted to direct the second respondent to produce the detenue Ranjani, a minor, aged about 16 years.

2. The second respondent produced the detenue. The detenue, who is capable of understanding about her life, said before us that she is willing to join with her parents. The detenue also said that she is willing to continue her education. The mother of the detenue, who is present before the Court, also expressed her readiness to take the detenue with her.

3. In view of the fact that the detenue expressed her willingness to join with her mother to pursue her education, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and consequently, the habeas corpus petition stands disposed of.
