O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 22.04.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard Mr.G.Punniakoti, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. The petitioner is claiming title over the subject property based on his inheritance from his father. The patta also stands in the name of the father of the petitioner. The petitioner submitted an application on 22.04.2024 by paying necessary charges for conducting survey in the subject property. Thereafter, there was no response and hence, a representation was also made and it did not evoke any response. 2/4

It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner on 22.04.2024 and conduct the survey in the subject property based on the patta that has already been issued in the name of the father of the petitioner. This process shall be completed within a period of four

(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any rival claims, the survey shall be conducted in their presence. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
