The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 9 and 10 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 in Crime No.02 of 2024, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The learned Government Advocate(crl side) had stated that the after filing of this petition, subsequently the offences have been altered to include offences under the POCSO Act, 2012. He further submitted that statement under section 164(5) of Cr.P.C has not been recorded.
3.In view of all above facts, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
