ORDER

Mr.J.Kumaran, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of the matter, even at this juncture. Hence, by consent of both learned counsel, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner has sought a mandamus directing the second respondent, Registrar, Puducherry State Dental Council to consider his application for renewal of Dentist registration certificate in Part B and to issue the certificate of registration.

3. Mr.Kumaran will accede to the pendency of the application and would assure the Court as well as the petitioner that R2 will hear the petitioner, consider the application and dispose the same in accordance with law and all applicable Rules and Regulations, expeditiously.

4. Recording the said assurance, mandamus is issued to R2 to hear the petitioner, consider his application and dispose the same on merits and in 2 / 4

accordance with law and all applicable Rules and Regulations, within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
