O R D E R

This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation of the case in Cr.No.254 of 2014 pending investigation on the file of the 6th respondent to the 1st respondent for further investigation.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. On a reading of the complaint in Crime No.254 of 2014, serious allegations of land grabbing has been made. Despite which, no substantial progress in the investigation seems to have been done by the 5th respondent police. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court is of the view that, it is a fit case to transfer the investigation from the file of the 5th respondent to the file of the District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram.

4. The 5th respondent is directed to hand over the Case Diary in Crime No.254 of 2014 to the District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram, within one week, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram is directed to continue with the investigation. The DSP Kancheepuram is directed to continue with the investigation.

With the above direction, this petition is ordered accordingly.
