ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the revision petition filed by the petitioner on 21.12.2021 against the order passed by the Sub Collector/Revenue Divisional Officer, Chidambaram dated 15.07.2021, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Ms.V.Mythili Srinivas, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent. 3.The petitioner is tracing his right and title by virtue of the Decree passed by the competent Civil Court. Based on the same, he applied for patta before the Tahsildar, Chidambaram. The Tahsildar rejected the application and aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer. The Revenue Divisional Officer also dismissed the appeal by an order dated 15.07.2001. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed

3/5 the revision before the respondent on 21.12.2021. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date the revision petition has not been heard and no orders have been passed. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the revision petition filed by the petitioner on 21.12.2021, on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
