Mr.M.Thamizharasan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed seeking for mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose the appeal dated 16.10.2018, challenging the order of the second respondent dated 06.09.2018, arising out of deficit stamp duty issue. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said appeal has not been taken up and disposed of by the respondents so far.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 16.10.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
