PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to (1) G.O.Ms.No.1108 P & AR Department dated 18.12.1987 of the second respondent and (2) Na. Ka. No.1804/A1/2014 dated 21.11.2014 of the fifth respondent to quash para 6 of G.O. dated 18.12.1987 to the limited extent of effective date of the order and to quash the order of the fifth respondent in its entirely and issue consequential directions to the respondents to grant weightage of 5 years along with the petitioner net qualifying service of 22 years for purposes of pension and to revise the petitioner pensionary benefits on that basis and disburse all consequential monetary benefits with interest. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has died a year back and the legal heirs have not contacted him for taking further steps. 2/4
2. Recording the same, the Writ Petition stands dismissed leaving it open to the legal heirs to take appropriate steps, if they are interested to prosecute the matter. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
