This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint dated 07.06.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that based on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.06.2016 alleging that the opposite party had assaulted the petitioner, the petition enquiry is pending in C.S.R.No.281/2016, before the respondent.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to produce the medical records before the respondent police and the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and during the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [(2014) 4 SCC 1], otherwise, the petition may be closed under intimation to the petitioner.
