Prayer in both the Writ Petitions: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 17.08.2017 seeking assignment of appropriate placement of seniority of the petitioner as per the Teachers Recruitment Board Select List in strict adherence of the roaster/turn therein on merits and as per law within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The grievances of the Writ Petitioners are that their seniority as per the merit ranking list issued by the Teachers Recruitment Board has not been considered by the competent authority on account of certain irregularity in fixation of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
seniority. The petitioners are deprived of their promotional opportunities. Thus, the petitioners are constrained to move this Writ Petition.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the merit ranking list is the rule to be followed for the purpose of fixing seniority in the particular cadre and the said exercise has not been done by the authorities. In this regard, the petitioners have submitted a representation on 17.08.2017, which is yet to be considered.
3. Other than going into the merits of the matter, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 17.08.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The Writ Petitioners are directed to enclose the copies of the representation and other Government Orders, if any, along with the orders passed in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
