(Order of the Court was made by T.S.Sivagnanam, J. ) The petitioner claiming himself as a resident of Otteri seeks for a direction to the respondent Corporation to form a Volleyball play ground in the area, which has already been classified as play ground.

From the photographs filed along with the writ petition, we find that this is a Basketball court, which is now extensively damaged.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation would submit that tenders were invited for construction of a Basketball court, but there were no bidders. Since the area is to be used for the purpose of playground, the respondent Corporation may take appropriate action to use it as a Basketball court or volleyball ground, but such a decision is left to them and the area should not be wasted and it should be maintained for the purpose of welfare of the youth of that area without putting it to any use other than that of a play ground as it is not disputed by the respondents 2 to 4 that it has been so classified. This writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
