PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent commission to accept the application of the petitioner to take part in the recruitment process initated vide notification No.9/2015 dated 10.07.2015 without reference to the amendment to the general rules in part II of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules (Vol.I of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual 1987) vide Rule 54 (B) vide G.O.Ms.No.114 dated 11.08.2010 and consequently without reference to Clause 4-A of the notification of the second respondent so far as the petitioner concerned and consequently direct the respondents to implement G.O.Ms.No.98, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, dated 17.07.2006 by increasing the upper age limit of OC candidates from 30 to 35 years and increasing the upper age limit for other candidates from 35 to 40 years. This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent commission to accept the application of the petitioner to take part in the recruitment process initiated vide Notification No.9 of 2015 dated 10.07.2015 without reference to the amendment to the general rules in Part II of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules vide G.O.Ms.No.114 dated 11.08.2010 and consequently without reference to Clause 4-A of the Notification of the second respondent sofar as the petitioner concerned and consequently direct the respondents to implement G.O.Ms.No.988, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department dated 17.07.2006.
There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Even on an earlier occasion there was no representation. 3.
The learned Additional Government Pleader representing the respondents is present.
