Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the illegally installed statute of a Goddess in the public road

in S.F.No.433 and our lands in S.F.No.437-B/6, Thimiri Village, Arcot Taluk, Ranipet District by considering petitioners representations dated 03.10.2022.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.N.Manoharan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3.

2. Learned Government Advocate submits that survey would be conducted by the authorities within a period of three months from today and depending upon the report of the survey, further steps, in accordance with law, would be undertaken.

3. In view of the said statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.6094 of 2024, filed to permit the petitioners to file a single writ petition inasmuch as they have paid separate set of court fees, stands allowed.
