By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the property situated in S.No.970/2 measuring to an extent of 3.72 acres at Gudalur Village, Coimbatore - North Taluk, Coimbatore District and is

in possession and enjoyment of the property. The petitioner has given a representation on 28.11.2011 to the respondent to change the patta in his name. Since no action has been taken by the third respondent, the petitioner submitted a petition before the District Revenue Officer, Coimbatore, the second respondent herein, who has also failed to take any action, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Roofus Abrahami, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents.

4. A perusal of the typed-set of documents would disclose that for receipt of the application, no acknowledgment is available. This Court, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances, permits the petitioner to submit a fresh application to the third respondent for transfer of patta in his name along with necessary documents and necessary fees within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to consider the same in accordance with law, after putting the concerned persons on notice and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
