This petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.226 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and he learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the prosecution is that on the complaint lodged by the second respondent, the first respondent registered the First Information Report in Crime No.226 of 2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC. Further, the petitioner had been running a consulting agency in the name and style of Eanid Overseas Consultant Ltd., for sending people abroad for work. The de-facto complainant gave Rs.3,90,000/- to the petitioner for getting a job abroad. But the petitioner did not get a job for him as assured. Hence, the complaint.

On a perusal of the records, it reveals that the second respondent paid a sum of Rs.3,90,000/- on several occasions, based on a compromise between the petitioner and the second respondent, as per the second respondent's letter dated 17.09.2024. Accordingly, the petitioner had fully settled the entire amount with the second respondent. In fact, the second respondent also agreed to withdraw the complaint.
5. In view of the above, the impugned First Information Report cannot be sustained and it is liable to be quashed. Accordingly, the First Information Report in Crime No.226 of 2024 is hereby quashed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 25.03.2025 Index:Yes/No kv 3/5
