Prayer: Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records of the first respondent in his award in I.D.No. 220 of 2004 dated 11.03.2011 quash the same.

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of Certiorari to quash the award in I.D.No. 220 of 2004 dated 11.03.2011 passed by the first respondent.

2. In the last hearing (i.e.) on 18.03.2024, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 50,000/- towards back wages and requested time to pay the same.

3. Today (i.e.) 27.03.2024, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he is unable to get instructions in regard to the above said payment and requested time for the same.

4. According to the written instruction of the petitioner, the gratuity amount payable by the petitioner is sum of Rs. 98,695/- and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent is also agreed for receiving the above said 2/4

gratuity amount. If at all any grievances exist for the second respondent, he shall work out his remedy in the manner known to law.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for either side, the petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs. 50,000/- towards backwages on or before 10.04.2024 and in regard to the gratuity amount, the petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs. 98,695/- on or before 25.04.2024.

6. This writ petition is disposed of with above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 27.03.2024 Index:Yes/No Speaking Order : Yes/No nsl To The Presiding Officer, Principal Labour Court, Vellore.
