This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondent herein to settle 6% interest for the belated settlement of Terminal Benefits to the petitioners 1 to 12 herein by considering the representation of the petitioners 1 to 12 herein dated 30.12.2025."
2. The case of the petitioners is that they were appointed in various posts in the respondent corporation and on attaining the age of superannuation, they have retired from their service. The petitioners would submit that the retirement benefits were settled to them after a lapse of 1 year, for which they are entitled to 6 % interest. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.
3. The learned Standing Counsel fairly concedes that the petitioners are entitled to the relief claimed by them.
4. Recording the submission of the learned Standing Counsel, the respondent corporation is directed to pay 6 % interest for the belated 3/6
settlement of terminal benefits to the petitioners, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is allowed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
