ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to pay the petitioners the earned leave surrendered by them while in service, the arrears towards the 12(3) wage revision settlement, and the STERBS Fund amount, together with interest at the rate of 12% per annum, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners joined the service of the respondent Corporation as Foremen in the years 1989, 1981, 1982, and 1982 respectively, and retired from service in the years 2012, 2015, 2019, and 2020 respectively. However, the petitioners were not paid gratuity, earned leave salary, and STERBS Fund contribution within 30 days from the date of their retirement. The Provident Fund and earned leave salary are required to be paid to a retired employee on the date of retirement itself. Hence, the petitioners made representations on 22.05.2025, 04.10.2024, 04.07.2025, and 04.07.2025 respectively. However, no order has been passed till date. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 22.05.2025, 04.10.2024, 04.07.2025, and 04.07.2025 respectively and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
