Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 27.11.2018 seeking for sub division and mutation of patta in the name of the petitioner on the basis of direction issued by the Sub Collector, Ranipet dated 12.11.2019. For Petitioner : Mr.G.Jeremiah For Respondents: Mr.E. Balamurugan Special Government Pleader

O R D E R

Heard Mr.G.Jeremiah, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Balamurugan, the learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

2. With the consent of either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to dispose of his application for sub division and mutation of patta in his name. The said application has been forwarded in original by the Sub-Collector, Ranipet, to the respondent on 12.11.2019. However, till date no date has been fixed for conducting enquiry and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Considering these facts, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application as forwarded by the Sub-Collector, Ranipet, in his proceedings along with a memo dated 12.11.2019 and issue notice to the petitioner, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
