ORDER

The petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take steps to release the death compensation in the light of the order passed by the 2nd respondent No.JED/cw/436/117/1997 dated 28.5.2018 in accordance with law.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the first respondent would submit that even as early as on 28.05.2018, the learned Consulate General of India at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, had addressed the father of the petitioner herein stating that the documents namely the general power of attorney and legal heirship certificate had been received by them. However, they require the English Arabic translation of the same. In the letter they further stated that as soon as the original documents namely English & Arabic versions duly attested by the concerned authorities are received, the same would be processed.

3.However, it appears that despite repeated reminders dated 07.04.2002, 28.05.2002, 02.12.2002, 01.10.2002 and 22.07.2014, the same has not been provided. Subsequent to this, the father of the petitioner passed away and the petitioner is now processing of the said document. Therefore, he would submit that as and when the petitioner submits the documents as requested in the communication dated 28.05.2018, the respondent shall take necessary steps to process the same.
