Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to lift the attachment and defreeze the Savings Bank No.32811489106, maintained with the fifth respondent bank, viz., State Bank of India, Chennai in the name of the petitioner, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2025.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to lift the attachment and defreeze the Savings Bank Account No.32811489106, maintained by the petitioner with the fifth respondent bank, based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2025.

2.The petitioner's aforesaid bank account has been frozen by the respondents. According to the petitioner, the respondents have not informed about the reasons as to why their bank account has been frozen. The petitioner has given a representation dated 15.02.2025 to the 2/4

respondents requesting them to lift the attachment and defreeze the Current Bank Account No.32811489106, maintained by the petitioner with the fifth respondent bank. Since the representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.Santhanaraman, learned Senior Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 and Ms.S.R.Sumathy, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the fifth respondent. 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered, on merits and in accordance with law by the respondents 1 to 4 and final orders are passed thereafter.

5.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondents 1 to 4 to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2025 seeking for lifting the attachment and defreezing their Current Bank Account No.32811489106, maintained with the fifth respondent bank, on merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/4
