(Order of the Court was made by The Honourable The Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue a writ of declaration, declaring the Code of Regulations for Matriculation Schools in Tamilnadu as illegal and invalid and consequently cancel the recognition granted to the 4th respondent and other Matriculation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Schools in Tamilnadu as invalid, except the Matriculation Schools enjoying recognition of the Madras and Madurai Universities as on 1.6.1976.
2. Today, when the above matter came up for hearing, neither the petitioner, nor his counsel appeared before the Court to contest the matter. The respondent filed their counter affidavit, as directed by us. In view of the absence of the petitioner or his counsel, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. M.P.Nos.1 and 2 of 2011 are closed.
