For Petitioner : M/S.K.SASINDRAN Advocate For Respondent : THE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR(PUDUCHERRY) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 341 and 506(ii) r/w. 34 of IPC in Crime No.24 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Based on the complaint given by one Udyanarayanan, a Reporter in a Tamil daily, alleging that two identifiable unknown persons following his vehicle dashed against him, picked quarrel and attacked him. After registering a case in Crime No.24 of 2022 on 23.02.2022, the police has taken up the investigation and on analyzing the CCTV footage near the scene of crime, they found that those two persons namely Sathish and Karthik were roaming around Moolakulam areas and they have been arrested. During interrogation, they informed that they have been engaged by one Amma Arumugam @ Anthony of Rodiarpet, Puducherry to attack one Udyanarayanan and as per instruction, they attacked Udyanarayanan. This petitioner is said Anthony.

3. According to the prosecution, he has engaged the assailants to attack and intimidate the defacto complainant, unless the petitioner is secured to cause for engaging elements to attack the defacto complainant will not come to light.

4. Taking note of the facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Hence the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
