4.The Superintendent of Police ..Respondents Prayer:- Petition filed under section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the 4th respondent herein to strictly obey with the dictum laid down by the Madurai Bench of this Court in WP [MD].No.3904/2015 in all the complaints they receive in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption and to register an FIR in the petitioner's complaint dated 16.12.2018 and to proceed further. ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the 4th respondent herein to strictly obey with the dictum laid down by the Madurai Bench of this Court in WP [MD].No.3904/2015 in all the complaints they receive in the Directorate of Vigilance and
Anti Corruption and to register an FIR in the petitioner's complaint dated 16.12.2018 and to proceed further. When the matter is taken up today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the complaint of the petitioner/party-in-person dated 22.02.2019, was received by the respondents and the allegations in the petition were levelled against the Public Information Officer of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board and the Chief Executive Officer of the Wakf Board and he would submit that since the allegations mentioned in the complaint are general in nature and since they do not disclose commission of any cognizable offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the respondents have not caused any enquiry into the contents of the above petition.
The respondents have also intimated the complainant about the action not being taken on his complaint. Status Report on behalf of the 1st respondent dated 22.04.2019 has also been filed before this Court to that effect. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to proceed in accordance with law.
