Heard Mr. R.Krishnamurthy, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.Ganesan, Learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the 1/4
pleadings of the parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondent to take against the Village Committee Members committing prohibited acts of 'untouchability' in furtherance to the representation dated 02.05.2022 made by the Petitioner in that regard.

When it is pointed out that the Petitioner has to pursue the remedy under the provisions of the Protection of the Civil Rights, 1955, read with Article 17 of the Constitution, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner to withdraw the Writ Petition reserving the rights of the Petitioner to resort to that procedure, and he has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid clarification. No costs.
