Respondents in both petitions --- PRAYER: Contempt Petitions filed under Section 11 of the Contempt Courts Act praying to punish the respondents for having committed the contempt of Court by willfully not complying the common order dated 08.01.2010 made in W.P.Nos.11760 and 11759 of 2009.

COMMON ORDER These Contempt Petitions have been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order and direction issued by this Court in Writ Petition Nos. 11759 and 11760 of 2009, dated 08.01.2010.

2. This Court, while disposing of the writ petitions, directed the first respondent-Railways Administration to consider the petitioner's representations dated 28.05.2009 and 03.06.2009 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. The learned Standing Counsel for the Railways submitted the written note furnished by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Southern Railway, wherein it has been stated that after adjustment of all accounts, the petitioner is liable to pay a sum of Rs.23,042/- to the Railways.

3. Since the direction issued by this Court has not been complied with, the first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioner and communicate the reasoned decision to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, these contempt petitions are closed.
