ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register the Will executed by petitioner father, pertaining to the subject land, based on the representation dated 15.02.2023 and 23.01.2024
2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the subject property is absolutely belongs to the petitioner's father, namely Sundarampillai, who made an Will dated 21.02.1991 for the said property in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, in the year 2017, the petitioner's father was died. After his demise, the petitioner is in 2/6
possession and enjoyment of the said landed property. Till date, the aforesaid Will is not registered before the 2nd respondent. Hence, a representation was made by the petitioner to register the Will dated 21.02.1991. However, the said representation was not considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this petition.
5. On the other hand, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would request this Court to grant 8 weeks time for disposing of the petitioner's representation.
6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.
7. In the case on hand, the petitioner's father, namely Sundarampillai, had made an Will dated 21.02.1991, pertaining to the subject property, in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner's father died in the year 2017. After his demise, the petitioner is in 3/6
possession and enjoyment of the said landed property. Now, a representation was made by the petitioner before the respondents to register the aforesaid Will dated 21.02.1991. However, the said representation was not considered by the respondents till date.

In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 15.02.2023 & 23.01.2024, on merits and in accordance with the provisions of Section 27, 40 & 41 of the Tamil Nadu Registration Act, 1908, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
9. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
