ORDER

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to assign an agricultural land to the petitioner under the Ex-service man land Assignment scheme based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2023.

2. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of respondents. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner and his mother was assigned a land in Survey No.71/2, to an extent of 1 acre each in Kilakulathur Village by the third respondent. However, the said assignment was cancelled by the second respondent on 29.06.2012 stating that the said land was not cultivated, as per the assignment conditions. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation dated 25.08.2022 to the first respondent, seeking to grant agricultural land 2/6

under the Ex-service Man Quota, since the petitioner was retired from Army. However, no land was assigned to the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner has sent another representation dated 27.07.2023 and that also was not considered so far, by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, it would be suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2023.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2023 would be considered and appropriate orders passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2023, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
