ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), representing the respondent.

2. The present contempt petition is filed for non-compliance of the the order of this Court dated 20.8.2014 made in Crl.O.P.No.22119 of 2014.

3. Considering the status report filed by the Government regarding the manner and the stage of the investigation, this Court feels, it is no longer necessary to keep the contempt petition pending and the the same may be closed with a direction issued to the concerned Investigating Officer to complete the investigation under the direct supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police and file a final report within a specific time.

4. Accordingly, the present Investigating Officer is directed to proceed with and to complete the investigation under the direct supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhavani and by sending periodical report to the Superintendent of Police, Erode, and file a final report within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, the contempt petition stands closed.

Consequently, connected sub applications are also closed.
