ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- (The case has been heard through video conference) The Petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.02.2021 for the offence punishable under Sections 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended by the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment ) Act 2018 in Crime No.04 of 2021, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has demanded a sum of Rs.20,000/- as bribe amount from the defacto complainant for issuing vacant land patta transfer order and based on his complaint, trap was conducted and the petitioner caught redhanded. Hence the complaint came to be registered.

3. No representation on behalf of the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.20,000/- as bribe from the defacto complainant and she caught red handed. She would further submit that investigation is at the preliminary stage.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the serious nature of the offence, and the investigation is also at the preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner .
