O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 06.01.2020 wherein the petitioner has sought for cancellation of patta granted in favour of the private respondent.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the representation made by the petitioner to the 1st respondent was not entertained, since only the Revenue Divisional Officer, South Chennai Division, Guindy has the jurisdiction to entertain such an application for cancellation of patta granted by the 1st respondent. The learned Special Government Pleader further submitted that, if such an application is made to the Revenue Divisional Officer, it will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed after hearing the parties.

3.In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit an application before the Revenue Divisional Officer, South Chennai Division, Guindy, Chennai - 600 032 and on receipt of the same, the concerned authority shall enquire all the parties and shall pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. No Costs.
