Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to evict the encroachment as found in land in S.No.78/10 and 78/11 at Thekkampatty Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District which is classified as "property of Koothandavar Temple" as per revenue records. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.Paramasivadoss, learned counsel appearing for Mr.K.Balakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 4.

2. Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that within a period of three months, survey would be conducted on the subject writ property and upon survey, if any encroachment is found, steps, in accordance with law, would be taken immediately to remove the encroachment.

3. In view of the said statement, no further orders are necessary. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
