The State is the appellant in this case. The appeal is filed with a delay of 247 days.

2.According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the delay is due to getting opinion from the Deputy Legal Advisor, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Vellore for filing an appeal and proposal to the Director of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Chennai and further to the Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare [D] Department, Secretariat, Chennai. This is a procedural delay and hence, prayed for condoning the delay of 274 days.

3.Mr.S.Poornachandran, learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the delay of 274 days is a long period and proper reason has to be given and not be made in a routine manner.

4.Being satisfied with the submissions and reasons stated in the affidavit filed by the prosecution, the delay of 274 is condoned. The http://www.judis.nic.in
