By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to take up the appeal petition dated 21.09.2015 and dispose of the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

3.In the petition it has been stated that the petitioner purchased the property in the Oddanthangal Village comprised in Survey No.15/7A, 15/7D from one P.Jethuruth Marry vide registered sale deed dated 07.06.2004 bearing document no.1978 of 2004. One Theroso and Selvaraj Ignations filed application before the second respondent for cancellation of patta which stood in the name of the petitioner and accordingly, the second respondent passed an order in Na.Ka.No.3297/2014/A2 dated 09.09.2015 cancelling the patta standing in the name of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent along with stay petition and the same is still pending without any hearing for a long period from 21.09.2015. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition.

4.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader. 5.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the first respondent to expedite the hearing of the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 21.09.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to all the necessary parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
