CRL. O.P. No.12909 of 2016 S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.

Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)aaa, 4(1)(A) of Prohibition Act in Crime No.308 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioners have come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners are alleged to have selling 2000 liters of rectified spirit.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have not committed any such offence and they have been falsely implicated in this case for statistical purpose.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners on the ground that the first and second petitioners are involved in previous cases of similar nature and that very huge quantity is involved in this case.

5. Taking note of the fact the first and second petitioners are having bad antecedents and that even though the third petitioner is not involved in any previous case, as huge quantity is involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners and the petition is dismissed.
