Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019 wherein this petitioner had requested to immediately constitute "The Festival Peace Committee Consisting of Representatives from All Communities" to conduct the 'Annual Festival' otherwise called 'Chithirai Festival' to be conducted for the Arul Mighu Vellakkal Mariamman Temple, Devarayasamuthiram Village, Pothanoor, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District and to conduct the 'Peace Committee Meeting' as soon as possible so that this year Annual Festival be conducted in a peaceful manner.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought for constituting a "Peace Committee" representing from all communities to conduct the 'Annual Festival' (Chithirai Festival) at the temple called Arul Mighu Vellakkal Mariamman Temple, Devarayasamuthiram Village, Pothanoor, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for 1st to 6th respondents and the learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) appearing for 7th to 9th respondents.
3. It appears that there is some dispute between different group of villagers in conducting the temple festival at the above said temple. It is stated that a Peace Committee Meeting held in the year 2017, failed to achieve the desired result, as rival groups did not come for amicable solution.
4. Needless to say that the parties will not be under the same temperament even after a period of two years and therefore, it is for the official respondents to work out for an amicable solution for this year by way of convening a Peace Committee consisting of representatives from all communities of the subject matter village, for the purpose of conducting the 'Annual Festival' for this year. All the interested parties shall cooperate with the conducting of such Peace Committee Meeting, so as to enable the authorities to see that the festival is conducted peacefully without giving any room for law and order problem.

Accordingly, the 2nd respondent is directed to convene a Peace Committee Meeting consisting of members from all communities of the subject matter village and conduct such meeting so as to arrive at an amicable solution for conducting Chithirai Festival at the Arul Mighu Vellakkal Mariamman Temple, Devarayasamuthiram Village, Pothanoor, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District peacefully.
The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department representative shall also take part in the Committee and assist the 2nd respondent for working out a peaceful solution between the villagers. The whole exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent with a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
