Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition is filed for mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 23.03.2016, preferred against the order of the second respondent dated 26.02.2016, rejecting the request of granting quarry in the patta land.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader, based on instructions, submitted that the first respondent will dispose of the appeal within the time frame fixed by this Court on merits and in accordance in law.
4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the said appeal. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
