O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.M.Dig Vijayapandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal.

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioners' application dated 30.10.2013 and transfer the patta/Town Survey extract in the name of petitioners with respect to property bearing door No.34 Teeds Graden, 4th Street, Perambur, Chennai 600 011, measuring about 3566 Sq.ft. comprised in Old Survey No.111/1 part, T.S.No.5, Block No.19, Sembium division, Perambur Taluk, within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that it would suffice if a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the application of the petitioners dated 30.10.2013 with regard to transfer of patta within a time frame.

4. In view above submission now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and since the application of the petitioners for transfer of patta is kept pending, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioners dated 30.10.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioners as well as any of the interested parties.
