The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.01.2024 for the offences registered by the respondent Police under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act @ Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B), 22(a), 25, 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.57 of 2024, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 2.700 kgs of Ganja and 23 syringes with each containing 5 ml of ganja oil.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner had suffered incarceration for more than 40 days. 4.But however, taking into consideration the fact that 23 syringes had been recovered with 5 ml of ganja oil in each one of them and one syringe could be used for 5 separate persons and the quantity of ganja oil, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 08.03.2024 ata https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
