Mr.I.Sathish, Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R6 Mr.S.Salaigeethan for R7 O R D E R The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2018 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The dispute between the petitioner and the 7th respondent is in respect of de-silting the lake called Alathur kissa Lake. Undoubtedly, the de-silting, repair or renovation of the said lake have to be carried out by the Public Works Department. However, as it is stated by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents that such work will be allotted by the Public Works Department to the farmers Association which is having 51% of the total number of Ayakadars, it is for the 3rd and 5th respondents to consider the grievance of the petitioner, who claims to have got the work order earlier, and pass appropriate orders on their representation dated 28.07.2018, after hearing the petitioner as well as the 7th respondent.
Such exercise shall be done by the 3rd and 5th respondents jointly within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
