O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking Writ of Mandamus, to issue a writ mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2019 in accordance with law and further the 3rd respondent to hold an enquiry under 151 of police standing order against the Inspector of Police, Natarajan, Neelankarai Police Station, Chennai 600 115 through his henchmen 6 to 8 respondents herein on 09.02.2019 and punish the said Natarajan 4th to 8th respondents herein in the facts and circumstances of the case.

2.It is seen that the complaint lodged by the petitioner before the 3rd respondent has been forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adyar, Chennai.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the Deputy Commissioner, Adyar, Chennai, to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 11.02.2019 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
