This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to grant permission and police protection to perform the cultural program of "Adalpadal" on 08.04.2018 night at about 7.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. at Sri Mahasakthi Mariamman Temple, situated at Ariyanoor, Salem District and to provide adequate police protection, based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018.

activities in the local temple. It is for the Police to take a decision depending upon the law and order situation and this Court cannot give a direction to the police as prayed for by the petitioner. Hence, this petition is closed.
