Heard Ms. R.Rayeesa Fathima, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.Kumaresan, Learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the Respondent and perused the material placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Petitioner, who participated in the recruitment to the post of Grade - II Police Constables, Jail Wardens and Firemen in furtherance to the Notification No. 02/2022 dated 30.06.2022, has filed this Writ Petition seeking direction to the Respondent to dispose his representation dated 15.02.2023 made in that regard.

In response, the Respondent has filed a report dated 27.03.2023, in which it has been stated as follows:- "6.
It is submitted that the petitioner Tr.R.Dillip belonging to MBC/DNC Community applied for the common recruitment 2022 with the Enrollment No.2110147. Having qualified the written examination, the petitioner was provisionally called for Certificate Verification / Physical Measurement Test / 2/5
Endurance Test / Physical Efficiency Test. The petitioner did not apply for sports quota but had uploaded his sports certificate to claim special marks for sports in his online application. On 08.02.2023 during certificate verification by the Vellore Sub-Committee, the petitioner had submitted his Form III certificate for claiming sports quota in the said recruitment. The petitioner had submitted Form III certificate issued by Thiruvalluvar University for the event of Athletics. As the said certificate produced by the petitioner before the Sub Committee is eligible and valid for claiming sports quota, the petitioner was considered under sports quota in the selection process.

It is submitted that the Petitioner qualified the Physical Tests. Further he has also been considered for final provisional selection list under sports quota only. Hence the prayer of the petitioner to consider his representation dated 15.02.2023 has already been considered by the Board in the said recruitment." In view of the said action taken on the representation made by the Petitioner, nothing remains for further consideration in the Writ Petition. 3/5
In fine, the Writ Petition is disposed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
