ORDER

Alleging that the order of this Court dated 4.1.2016 made in Crl.O.P.No.30503 of 2015 has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. The petitioner filed the petition in Crl.O.P.No.30503 of 2015 seeking a direction to the respondent herein to register First Information Report based on the complaint dated 14.1.2015 in CSR No.27/CSR/C3PS/15 and take necessary action in accordance

with law.

3. When the said petition came up before this Court on 4.1.2016, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 14.1.2015 given by the petitioner, a detailed enquiry was conducted and the said complaint was closed based on the undertaking given by the petitioner's son. He had also produced a copy of the closure report before this Court. Hence, based on the said representation made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court closed the said petition, by giving liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. Further, this Court directed the respondent herein to serve a copy of the closure report to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Alleging that the respondent has not served a copy of the closure report to the petitioner, the petitioner has come up with the present contempt petition.

4. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that a copy of the closure report has been served on the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also accepts the same.

5. Since the order of this Court has been complied with, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this contempt petition and the contempt petition is closed. sbi SD/ JOINT REGISTRAR(OS) //Certified to be true copy// Dated at Madras this the day of 2016.
