Petitioner seeks for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing respondents to absorb the petitioner in TANGEDCO on permanent basis with consequential and other attendant benefits by considering the representation submitted by the petitioners on 24.06.2010 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. It is seen that the petitioner has obtained an order dated 06.04.2005 of the concerned Authority under the Tamil Nadu Industrial and Establishment (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, for permanency. Now he made a representation dated 24.06.2010 to the third respondent to absorb him as a permanent employee based on the said order.
3.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ petition could be disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the first respondent for grant of permanent status as per the order of the Authority dated 06.04.2005. 4.Hence, in view of the limited scope of prayer, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the first respondent based on the order of the Authority dated 06.04.2005 and the first respondent is directed to dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
