ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for direction to the respondent to pay the earned leave salary and earned leave surrender amount of Rs.24,327/- with 12% interest for the period between the date of retirement and the date of payment.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused
the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner had worked as Driver in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and retired from service on 30.04.2012. However, he was not paid earned leave salary and earned leave surrender amount of Rs.24,327/-. Though the petitioner made representation, it has not been considered so far.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to disburse the earned leave salary and earned leave surrender amount of Rs.24,327/- to the petitioner with 6% interest for the period between the date of retirement and the date of payment within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
