Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to allot the River Land in S.No.491 as a burial ground at Ulkombai, Tenishpett Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents not to allot the River Land in S.No.491 as a burial ground at Ulkombai, Tenishpett Village, Omalur https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The writ petition was filed in the year 2013. The petitioner is unable to place the present status with reference to the grievance raised in the present writ petition.

3. It is not made clear that burial ground has been already provided for the benefit of the people of that locality or not. However, if any grievance exists as of now, it is left open to the writ petitioner to redress his grievance by approaching the Competent Authority in the manner known to law.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
