Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of his representation dated 16.08.2017, wherein and whereby he seek for allotment of one group house under Periyar Samathuvapuram Scheme, pursuant to the order already passed by the second respondent on 27.01.2003.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he is entitled to get such allotment in pursuant to such order made by the second respondent as early as on 27.01.2003, till this day, the petitioner is not allotted group house under the said scheme. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner made a representation on 16.08.2017, which is still pending for consideration.

5. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondents to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
