ORDER

The Collector, Salem District, has filed a status report stating that the survey of the property has been completed on 03.11.2025 and a report has been placed before her on 13.11.2025. The Collector has further stated that the 4th respondent is the competent authority under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. She seeks six months time to complete the process.

2. The writ petition had been pending from the year 2016. Nine years and more have gone by and still the petitioner has not been paid the compensation. The Collector shall take rigorous steps to ensure completion of the acquisition proceedings.
